Our Farm has many modern facilities…

General Farm Maintenance Shop. Our staff maintain all the farms equipment.  They have also built and modified farm equipment and trucks for specific applications.

In the last decade they have developed a new passion of antique tractor restoration from the ground up.  Our shop is home to many different services.  

Packing Facility.  Our farm has the capability of storing ten million plus pounds most of which is in climate controlled storage.

Our packing facility is set up to be a multifaceted building with separate entrances and loading bays.  This enables several operations to happen at once if required. 

These operations can include:

• Seed grading and packing with either bagged or bulk.
• Table grading brushed or washed to meet most requirements.

With our electronic photosizer we can pack requested size count boxes ranging in size from 120 to 10 oz. potatoes, depending on what the customer requires.  Our packing lines can also handle bulk totes, all the way down to 5 pound bags of paper or poly.

We have shipped nationwide, stateside and have exported to European and South American markets. 

Tissue Culture Lab.  The farms Tissue Culture Lab was established in 1986.  It is one of the first privately owned and operated propagation facility in the province.

The main purpose for starting the lab and greenhouse was to have the ability to access and grow potato varieties our customers required.  The propagation lab also gives our farm the safety of having a closed seed production system - meaning we grow our own seed from the very start at the nuclear level to field run seed.  This gives the farm more quality control, so we can produce the best possible seed for our customers.

Greenhouse Facility.  The potato plantlets started in the tissue culture lab are planted and grown in our greenhouses.  Our greenhouses provide the plants with the perfect growing conditions totally protected from insects and disease contamination.  The potatoes harvested in the greenhouses are called nuclear minitubers.  After the minitubers winter in their climate controlled ref. storage, they're ready to grow and are the perfect start to a healthy line of quality seed.
